# X (Twitter)

> Native posting and engagement metrics for X.

Connecting **X** lets the Social agent publish tweets and read engagement back, as part of the cross-channel Social surface.

## What it unlocks

* **Native posting** — approved posts publish to X via the native v2 API.
* **Engagement metrics** — impressions, likes, reposts, and replies flow into per-post metrics on the Social surface.
* **Cross-posting** — compose once, fan out to X alongside LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.

## Connecting

X connects through OAuth under **Settings → Integrations**, per-brand. Mesh Pilot requests the scopes needed to post and to read post analytics.

## Where data flows

* **Cockpit → X:** only approved posts (or auto-published ones under a social autonomy threshold).
* **X → cockpit:** post performance synced on a schedule for the Social surface's metrics.
